Happy Birthday Duke!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DUKE!

Duke joined our family on Valentines Day 2007,  five years ago. He was probably a two year old dog that day Luke, Josh and I brought him home from the pound, but we claim February 14 is his birthday. Here is a shot of him and me the day we brought him home.

Duke has been a great addition tour family, I would go so far as to say he is my friend. A couple of years ago Luke wanted a dog of his own and we added Shadow to the clan. 

Today on Dukes birthday I gave him and Shadow a nice piece of pastrami to celebrate.

Snagging Duke from the pound has proven to be one of the best decisions of my life. He has proven to be a good friend, a companion and an integral member of the Powers family for four years now.
