Schools In

The summer of 2012 begins to end. Luke will begin his sophomore year at HPA, Kailana leaves for her freshman year at Pacific University and Leilani heads off for her senior year. I look over my shoulder and see the three of them running around the yard chasing Tani the dog as little kids in middle school. And now one is 21 and will graduate from college next summer, another is 18 and in college and little Luke is 5'10" 210 pounds of muscle and entering his second year of high school. Time passes us by so quickly.

We had a BBQ dinner at our house the night before Leilani would leave for Oregon. Chloe, Leilani's best friend since they were in preschool at the age of three was there.

As was Kailana's boyfriend Tyler.

Here are some views of the evening.

The whole gang at dinner

And of corse as soon as they can they go to their phones

Luke, Josh and I took Leilani to the airport for her flight back to her last year of school.

I have been driving Leilani to school for 18 years. Beginning with Creative Day Preschool in 1994 until this day at the Kona airport where she will be starting her final year of school. Amazing,  just amazing.

And now I drive Kailana to the plane that will take her to her first year of college.

She turns and heads down the aisle and my little Kailana is off to join the real world. I will miss her as I missed Leilani and one day will miss Luke. Thus life moves forward I imagine...but I will miss my little kids...
