Sail To Keauhou August 4, 2013

After Flossie fizzled it was necessary to return Tim's boat its home in Keauhou Bay. We took off from Honokohau Harbor and soon spotted a sail closing on us from astern. As we come to recognize the hull attached to the sail we knew it was up to no good.

approaching boat is the S.S. Mystery Girl a sloop of ill repute skippered by the blackguard Captain Dan'l Mate. He being a scoundrel of the worst kind, known to people his boat with ne'er-do-wells and women of suspicious moral nature and chase down honest vessels such as ours and extort them with verbal violence if they do not pay a tribute of stolen alcohol! Tr
ue devils of the sea were those who overtook us today!

We manned battle stations and prepared to repel boarders by hitting them with cannon shot made of jello shots made with Okolehau.

The evil pirate and his crew being sated with our tribute sailed off to do whatever vile thing they were apt to do.

We hauled in the sheets and continued our sail south only to come across a sister vessel, the fine yacht Scotch Power 3 captained by Jeff McConnel.

We hailed them and talked story in passing with Jeff, his lady Sherrie and the happy couple Hume, David and Jessie.

Captain Tim saluted our fellow sailors with a beer and returned us to our southerly course to Keauhou Bay.

As the wind died before sunset we dropped the sails and jumped over the side for a deep water cool down. I left the camera below to join the fun. After everyone was back aboard we fired up the engine and headed in.

It was a good day on the water with friends and other sailors!
