Thanksgiving 2013

We had a great thanksgiving this year in Kona, Hawaii. Old friends I have known for 35 years and new friends I have come to know for only a few years joined Luke and I at our home for a wonderful day of Thanks.

I channeled my inner Martha Stewart and set our table as if we were somewhere in leaf strewn Connecticut.

Luke did a great job in the kitchen baking two pumpkin pies, cooking the dressing and making his specialty he learned from my dad, creamed onions.

Mannix Miller, my roommate in Kona in 1975, drove the two and a half hours from Kalapana to be with us.

Here you see us all before sitting down for our Thanksgiving feast.  Jeff McConnel, also a '75 roommate and great friend of mine left his turkey cooking in Keauhou Bay long enough to come and have a beer with us all.

Dr Tim and Judy were on hand to provide laughter and insight.

And of course there was Dan'l

Thanksgiving 2013 was a wonderful day. I can only hope that you all had half as good a time as did we!

Aloha…Brian
