Kona Sailing December 2013

We had an epic sail on my friend Tim's 41 foot Morgan sloop on Sunday. The winds were up, very unusual for Kona, so much so that I had to keep my camera down below so as not to get sprayed with saltwater. White caps and flying spray as we raced our way north at a fine pace. Heeled over racing into the wind pounding the small swells as we wetly went.

As we got close to sunset the winds slowed and I was able to grab some great photos of the beautiful Kona Coast at sunset.

Just as the sun was setting in the west a full moon rise was occurring 180 degrees to the east!

What a great sail we had. I so wish all my friends and family could have been along on this wonderful day!

Mahalo,

Brian
