Geeks vs. Jocks Party 2011
Well the last school related event of the 2011 school years has past. Kailana's class of brand new seniors chose to have a party on the night their senior friends were graduating and attending their senior night event. So a herd of ex-juniors had a Geeks vs. Jocks party at Cindy and Rob's house in Holualoa.
Each kid chose which they'd like to be and the party took place on a fine dry evening at a great house on the slopes of Hualalai. Chicken was BBQ'd and beef was broiled. The food was blessed and a good time was had by all.
It was great fun seeing a group of good kids laughing, dancing and enjoying each others company as they celebrate another rite of passage: leaving their junior year behind and getting ready for their last year of high school as seniors!
Sounded like a rusty car factory running at overspeed being pumped through the speakers to me.
Once again flashing back to my years in high school I don't recall any parties like this, they may have well occurred but I was either not invited or was too cool a surfer to attend such a nerdy event. My loss...my thanks to the new seniors of the HPA class of 2012 for inviting me to their party!
